The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) set national safety, anti-theft, and emissions standards for vehicles. While there are no specific ADRs for steering knuckles (similar to control arms or shocks), the KCA514 steering knuckle meets OE (Original Equipment) design standards. As there are no ADRs governing the "robustness of a vehicle," VSB 14 is the primary standard for in-service modifications.

Alternative Fixes to Steering Knuckle

Adjusting the steering rack pickup point is necessary to properly address bump steer. Using an upper control arm to fix bump steer would cause other issues, such as tire clearance problems.
